What is ECB Geomembrane ?

ECB Geomembrane is a synthetic waterproofing material produced from the special ECB (Ethylene Copolymer Bitumen) Granules. The ECB granules are extruded directly by high performance extrusion lines without using any additives.

In the production process of the ECB Geomembranes, there is no requirement for an additional reinforcement layer due to the high mechanical performance of the material. Only for the materials to be used in flat roof waterproofing applications, a 'glass fleece' layer is used in the middle of the geomembrane to improve the dimensional stability and to prevent the ondulation of the membrane. The reason for using glass fleece reinforcement is due to its excellent flexibility and compatibility properties. When under tensile stress, the glass fleece elongates with the geomembrane without breaking.

The ECB Geomembranes which will be not be exposed to direct UV light are produced with a silver foil lamination on the top surface. The signal foil is usually in silver color and it gives the possibility to have a visual test on the geomembrane in case of damages in the construction sites.

ECB Geomembranes are used in areas like; Foundation and Wall Waterproofing, Roof Terrace Waterproofing, Green Roof Waterproofing, Subway System Waterproofing, Tunnel Waterproofing, Below Ground Parking Lot Waterproofing, Water Storage Unit Waterproofing, Swimming Pool Waterproofing, Irrigation Channel Waterproofing, Industrial Roof Waterproofing (Factories, Warehouses, Logistics Centers, Retail Shopping Centers, Sports Facilities, etc.), Renovation of Exisiting Roofs, Tank Farms, Land Fills, Chemical Storage Areas.

ECB Geomembranes are produced under the trade mark of OC-Plan® by POLYFIN AG.

What is FPO Geomembrane ?

FPO Geomembrane is a synthetic waterproofing material produced from the special FPO (Flexible Polyethylene) Granules. The FPO granules are extruded directly by high performance extrusion lines without using any additives .

In the production process of the FPO Geomembranes, a glass fleece layer is used in the very middle of the membrane between two homogeneous layers. As the FPO Geomembranes are usually used as the finish component of the waterproofing system, the glass fleece reinforcement is used to improve the dimensional stability and to prevent the ondulation of the membrane for esthetical reasons. The glass fleece (unlike polyester fleece) - when under tensile stress - elongates with the geomembrane without breaking.

FPO Geomembranes are used in areas like; Roof Terrace Waterproofing, Green Roof Waterproofing, Potable Water Storage Area Waterproofing, Swimming Pool Waterproofing, Industrial Roof Waterproofing (Factories, Warehouses, Logistics Centers, Retail Shopping Centers, Sports Facilities, etc.), Renovation of Exisiting Roofs, etc.

FPO Geomembranes are produced under the trade mark of Polyfin® by POLYFIN AG.
